Suzlon’s generator unit located at Karumathampatty in Coimbatore has won the Kaizen competition. Organised by the CII Southern Region, the competition, which is the 13th in the series, saw over 100 companies participate in the event.
According to a press release, Suzlon received the award for successful implementation of Kaizen to achieve a uniform profile of copper bar with increased productivity.
JP Chalasani, Group CEO, Suzlon, said the company focusses on robust processes to ensure continuous improvement in quality and thereby increased efficiency. Kaizen is one of the many initiatives aimed at achieving cost optimisation, he said.
