Honeywell Electrical Devices and Systems (ED&S) has called for a worldwide switch to LED lighting. The company has said that organisations across the globe have a responsibility to seriously consider this energy-efficient lighting to combat climate change.
“It’s been predicted that LED technology could dominate the lighting market by 2015 – but it needs to be sooner,” said Mr. John Storey, Global Business Director of LED Lighting for Honeywell ED&S. “Currently, around two thirds of lighting is based on older, energy wasting technologies developed before 1970 – this is not sustainable" he added.
