Messaging platform Odigo is working on launching a military-grade security layer for its product.

Gaurav Shukla, CEO of Talent Bridge Technologies which owns Odigo, told BusinessLine that having delivered three essential pre-requisites for such a platform, hierarchy, confidentiality and scalability, a military-grade security layer is expected to be added to it.

To achieve this, TalentBridge Technologies has been collaborating with Bharat Electronics Ltd to release this enhanced version in the next quarter. A few pilots are already on, Shukla said. “With this release, Odigo will have a higher secure messaging platform but be also ready for India's defence usage under "Make In India”, he pointed out.

Odigo is a hierarchical and confidential messaging platform to help its clients increase the productivity of their field force who are distributed geographically across regions. It does so by automatically allocating bulk leads to the nearest field staff, based on the customer's geo-location. It assigns the task instantly and seamlessly to field representatives based on the customer's destination’s geo-location. It helps such organisations to conduct large scale surveys and engages instantly with a company's field force in a chat interface, allows file-sharing, instant audio/video calls and, most importantly, instant video conferencing calls.

Shukla said Odigo enables real-time interaction within corporate organisations who have large on-field workforces of sales, service, distribution and logistics. It also eliminates the need for any human interface in allocating leads. Odigo's video calling and video conferencing features follow the hierarchy as established in a group and it is instantaneous. In addition, any required pre-call action and any required post-call action can also be executed in Odigo itself.

Shukla said Odigo is 100 per cent complimentary to any CRM. It does not compete or replace any CRM. This is because Odigo addresses the last mile, on-field engagement and tracking needs of corporate organizations with large and geographically spread field forces.
