India’s consumer electronics export has touched $296 million in 2012-13 fiscal, with West Asia emerging as one of the main destinations accounting for $81 million, a top Indian trading body has said.
India’s consumer electronics export in 2012-13 is estimated to be $296 million, up from $256 million in 2011-12, registering an year-on-year growth of 16 per cent, West Asia Regional Director of the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council Kamal Vachani said in a statement.
Consumer electronics export from India to West Asia is estimated at $81 million, registering 13 per cent growth over 2011-12 from $72 million.
The main items exported to the region include loudspeakers, electronic watches, CCTV cameras, public address systems, video CDs and audio-video players.
