India’s Defence Secretary Pradeep Kumar rounded up his three-day visit to Singapore today, after co-chairing the 7th India-Singapore Defence Policy Dialogue.
“Kumar’s visit underscores the warm defence relationship between Singapore and India. Aside from joint exercises between the Singapore Armed Forces and the Indian Armed Forces, the two defence establishments interact regularly through visits, courses, professional exchanges and defence technology cooperation,” the Singapore Defence Minister said in a statement on Tuesday.
During his visit, Mr Kumar called on the Singapore Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, Mr Teo Chee Hean. He also visited Singapore’s Information Fusion Centre at the Changi Command and Control Centre, and Headquarter Armour.
The dialogue, established under the India-Singapore Defence Cooperation agreement signed in October 2003, was co-chaired by Singapore’s Permanent Secretary for Defence Chiang Mr Chie Foo.
