The seventh Indo-US Economic Summit will be held on February 11-12 in the National Capital with a focus on cementing bilateral ties in sectors such as infrastructure, higher and technical education, research and development, healthcare and entertainment.

The summit, which is the flagship event of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), will also see cooperation of small and mid-size companies from both countries, a statement said here on Monday. Around 600 delegates from India and the US are expected to attend the two-day summit that will be inaugurated by Mr Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission, it said. The summit Chairman, Mr Lalit Bhasin, said in the statement that the stress is being laid on cooperation of SMEs and disaster management because “we believe that these relatively untapped segments can transform the scope, range and quality of engagement.”
