The Finance Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, on Thursday said that India will extend all possible help to Ethiopia in its economic development.
This was conveyed to the visiting Ethiopian Finance Minister, Mr Sufian Ahmed, who called on Mr Mukherjee at the latter's office in the North Block today.
Mr Ahmed invited investments from India, stating that there was a lot of potential in Ethiopia for investment in business and trade.
The visiting Minister also showed interest in signing of a double taxation avoidance agreement (DTAA) between India and Ethiopia.
Mr Mukherjee mentioned about the line of credit extended by Exim Bank of India to Ethiopia. He highlighted that India and Ethiopia have long-term multifaceted relationship which has been strengthening over the years.
