Mr V. Sekhar has been appointed as the new Executive Director of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Southern Region Transmission System. He had earlier worked in National Thermal Power Corporation. He was one of the engineers who had visited Andaman and Nicobar islands soon after the tsunami in 2004-05 for the assessment and implementation of the power supply project. Mr Sekhar also made significant contribution to the implementation of Government of India projects in Afghanistan.
