Scottish Development International, the international arm of Scottish Enterprise, is bringing a trade delegation of 12 twelve Scottish companies and four business heads to India.

The delegation is on a five-day visit beginning October 6 to explore business alliances and tie-ups. It will meet over 100 Indian companies across Bangalore, Hyderabad and Delhi, Rooma Kumar Bussi, Country Manager, Scottish Development International (SDI) said in a press release.

The Scottish trade delegation comprises of 12 companies drawn from the Renewable Energy, IT, Healthcare, Education and Food & Drink sectors.

“India is seeing dynamic changes, particularly with the new Government coming to power. Recent policies and launch of campaigns such as ‘Make in India’ have once again put the country on the world map as a favourable business destination,” Bussi said.

Scottish companies needed to understand the strengths and address the unique requirements of the nation, she added.

On Indo-Scottish business ties, Bussi said that the recent decision on the referendum has ended the ambiguity and Scotland was set clear path of development. “These are very promising times for both the countries and we look forward to building long-term successful partnerships,” she said.
