Arabica Plantation and Arabica Cherry coffees got poor enquiries from the domestic trade and there was no enquiry from the exporters on Arabica coffees on offer at the Indian Coffee Trade Association (ICTA) auction held on Thursday.

However, Robusta Parchment coffees got some support from exporters according to auctioneer J Thomas & Company, of the 1,81,489 kg (Arabica comprised 1,61,522 kg and Robusta 19,967 kg) offered for sale, only 32,000 kg was sold.

Arabica Plantation PB grade prices were quoted at last week's levels, B grade price was higher by Rs 50 for a 50-kg bag, C grades sold at Rs 10,600, A grade remained unsold. Arabica Cherry coffees on offer remained unsold as seller's price was higher than the buyer's expectation.

Robusta Parchment coffees PB, AB and C grade met with good support from the exporters and the price was higher by Rs 50 to 200 for 50 kg when compared to last week's sale, there was no AA and RKR grade on offer and at the auction few lots of new season Robusta Cherry coffees on offer remained unsold.

Arabica Plantation and Arabica Cherry BBB prices were higher by Rs 325 to 500 for 50 kg when compared to last levels, Robusta Parchment and Robusta Cherry BBB remained unsold.

Arabica varieties - Arabica Plantation PB Rs 11,200 to Rs 11,550 , Arabica Plantation B Rs 11,300, Arabica Plantation C Rs 10,350 to Rs 10,600, Arabica Plantation BBB Rs 6,750 to Rs 7,265, Arabica Cherry BBB Rs 5,700 to Rs 5,825.

Robusta varieties - Robusta Parchment PB Rs 6,800, Robusta Parchment AB Rs 7,275 to Rs 7,305 and Robusta Parchment C Rs 6,650.
