Prices of thoor dal, gram dal and sooji went up, while sugar declined. All other commodities remained unaltered in the wholesale foodgrains market on Thursday.
Thoor dal went up by Rs 300 a quintal to Rs 6,500 from Rs 6,200, while gram dal rose by Rs 50 a quintal to Rs 3,100 from Rs 3050.
Sooji (90 kg) went up by Rs 50 to Rs 1,950 from Rs 1,900. Sugar declined by Rs 40 to Rs 2,960 from Rs 3,000.
The following are today’s rates (per quintal, except where specified): Thoor dal Rs 6,500, urad dal Rs 6,200, moong dal Rs 6,700, gram dal Rs 3,100, sugar Rs 2,960, wheat Rs 1,950, maida (90 kg) Rs 1,750 and sooji (90 kg) Rs 1,950.
