Tracking gains in other base metals, lead futures prices rose by 0.63 per cent to Rs 119.75 a kg in futures trade on Tuesday. Pick up in demand at the spot market from battery makers influenced lead futures prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, lead for delivery in February gained 75 paise or 0.63 per cent to Rs 119.75 a kg, with a business turnover of 41 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in January gained 70 paise or 0.59 per cent to Rs 119.10 a kg, with a business turnover of 832 lots.

Market analysts said pick-up in demand from battery manufacturers and better trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange influenced prices at futures trade.
