Amid sluggish demand in pulses, a bearish sentiment prevailed in majority of pulse seeds barring moong. Arrival of better quality moong has added to the uptrend in moong with its prices in the past one week going up by ₹300 a quintal. On Wednesday, new crop in Indore mandis rose to ₹5,400-6,700, while moong (medium) was ₹5,500-5,800. Moong dal (medium) was being quoted at ₹6,700-6,900, moong dal (bold) at ₹7,000-7,300, while moong mongar ruled at ₹7,400-8,100.
Urad (best) was quoted at ₹4,400-4,500, while urad (medium) ruled at ₹3,700-4,000. Urad dal (medium) at ₹4,800-5,000, while urad dal (bold) ruled at ₹5,300-6,600 and urad mongar at ₹6,300-6,400. Tur (Maharashtra) was at ₹4,900-50, while tur (Madhya Pradesh) was quoted at ₹4,200-4,500. Tur dal (full) was at ₹6,200-6,400, tur dal (sawa no.) at ₹6,500-6,700, while tur marka ruled at ₹7,100-7,300 a quintal.
