Black pepper and jeera prices fell by Rs 200 a quintal in the national capital on Saturday, owing to weak local and export demand amid adequate stocks. Black pepper fell by Rs 200 to settle at Rs 23,500-23,700 a quintal.

Jeera common and jeera best quality prices also declined to Rs 15,800-16,000 and Rs 17,300-18,300 as against previous closing of Rs 16,000-16,200 and Rs 17,500-18,500 a quintal, respectively.

Market analysts said reduced offtake by stockists and exporters at existing higher levels mainly pulled down the pepper and jeera prices at the wholesale kirana market here.
