The University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, which is considered as one of the lead centres for wheat research in the country, plans to showcase its dicoccum wheat research at the third International Group Meeting on Wheat Productivity Enhancement under Changing Climate, to be held at Dharwad. Among the released varieties, DWR-162 is extensively cultivated in Karnataka and Maharashtra. This variety has also been adapted by Indonesia in the name of ‘Dewata' owing to its excellent performance.
