Sugar prices at the Vashi wholesale market remained stable even as volume rose on the back of higher bulk demand. Maharashtra’s producers, in the last two days, sold over 1.60 lakh bags on improved demand from stockists.
Arrivals were at 60-62 and local dispatches, too, were at the same level.
The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association spot rates: S-grade ₹3,186-3,252 and M-grade ₹3,222-3,362. Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹3,180-3,190 and M-grade ₹3,220-3,245.
