Firm trend continued in sugar market for the fourth consecutive day on Tuesday. Prices at the Vashi wholesale market were up ₹20-30 a quintal as mills sold the commodity at ₹20 higher on improved festival demand. Naka rates too gained ₹20.Freight rates remained steady at ₹95-100 per bag. On Monday, 21-22 mills sold 58,000-60,000 bags at ₹3,000-3,070 of S-grade and ₹3,050-3,180 of M-grade. Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹3,120-3,180 and M-grade ₹3,170-3,280.
