Sugar prices at the Vashi wholesale market increased by ₹10-40 a quintal at the lower end in line with quality and ruled unchanged at the higher side on Tuesday. Naka and mill tender rates were steady. Due to heavy rains and disturbed transportation, the market witnessed thin trading activity.
Arrivals were higher than local dispatches. Freight rates were steady at ₹90-100 per bag. Arrivals were at 50-52 truck loads and local dispatches were at 48-50 loads. . Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹3,205-3,295 and ₹3,275-3,395.
