Sugar prices on the Vashi market ruled steady, while on futures it was higher. At Vashi activities remained normal and routine with enough supply and local demand. Naka and tender rates were unchanged.
Sources said stockists sold the fair variety at ₹10 a quintal lower and fine quality ₹10 higher. Freight rates were unchanged.
Arrivals at Vashi market were at 62-64 truck loads and local dispatches were at 58-60 loads. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹2,652-2,792 (2,662-2,782) and M-grade ₹2,756-2,922 (2,766-2,922). Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹2,600-2,700 (2,600-2,700) and M-grade ₹2,700-2,800 (2,700-2,800).
