The pepper markets on Thursday ruled steady on limited activities.
The primary markets are in holiday mood on account of Onam festivals.
Sellers were limited and those in the high ranges were offering at Rs655 a kg while the buyers were at Rs650 a kg.
Exporters have reportedly bought Wayand and semi-processed pepper at Rs650 a kg.
On the terminal market five tonnes of pepper were traded at Rs650 - Rs655 a kg.
Spot prices remained unchanged at Rs64,000 (ungarbled) and RS67,000 (garbled) a quintal.
September contract on the IPSTA also remained unchanged at Rs68,500 a quintal.
Indian export prices were at $10,500 a tonne cf for Europe and $10,750 a tonne cf for the USA. e.o.m
