Spot prices of turmeric decreased at the markets in Erode as only medium and poor quality produce arrived for sale. For the second consecutive day, arrivals remained low at 3,700 bags. The price of finger turmeric decreased by ₹400 a quintal at the Regulated Marketing Committee (RMC) and at Erode Cooperative Marketing Society (ECMS), while it lost ₹50 at the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association. The root variety lost ₹500 at the RMC and ECMS and ₹300 at the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association sales yard.
