Edible oils ruled steady despite normal physical volume and firm futures on Tuesday. Weakness in rupee lifted the sentiment as it makes imports costly. Local refineries kept their rates steady. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, groundnut oil rose by ₹10 and palmolein by ₹1. Vikram Global Commodities quoted ₹545 for Malaysian Super Palm June delivery. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹511 JNPT, super palmolein ₹537 and soyabean refined oil ₹595. Ruchi’s rates: palmolein ₹507, soyabean refined oil ₹590 and sunflower refined oil ₹690. Allana traded palmolein at ₹512, super palmolein ₹540, soyabean refined oil ₹595 and sunflower oil ₹695. In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin was unchanged at ₹1,560 and loose (10 kg) at ₹1,000.
