The arrival of turmeric for sale was poor at Regulated Marketing Committee Only 63 bags of turmeric arrived for sale. Though the arrival was low, the price of finger turmeric did not improve; instead it decreased by ₹400 a quintal. Negligible quantity of root turmeric arrived for sale and it was increased by just ₹10.
The root variety increased by ₹500 a quintal at the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society . Similarly at the same market the price of finger turmeric also increased by ₹ 250 a quintal.
