The auctions of Coonoor Tea Trade Association saw a volume of 14.53 lakh kg for sale No: 44 which will conclude on Friday. This is as much as 2.61 lakh kg more than the offer at the last conducted auction on October 21. Of this, 9.87 lakh kg belongs to leaf grades and 4.66 lakh kg, dust grades. As much as 12.65 lakh kg belongs to CTC variety and only 1.88 lakh kg, orthodox variety. In the leaf counter, only 1.08 lakh kg belongs to orthodox while 8.79 lakh kg, CTC. Among the dusts, only 80,000 kg belongs to orthodox while 3.86 lakh kg, CTC.
