Scores of Anna Hazare supporters staged a protest outside the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s residence here this afternoon demanding immediate passing of the Jan Lokpal bill, ahead of an all-party meeting.
Hoodwinking police, protesters gathered outside 7, Race Course Road residence of Dr Singh in small groups and then re-grouped shouting slogans against the government and demanding that a strong Lokpal bill be passed. Police immediately swung into action and took 50 people, including women, into a bus and then to a nearby police station.
