The Enforcement Directorate has raised questions over the scam ridden-63 moons technologies (formerly Financial Technologies) renting out a farmhouse owned by Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandi in 2013, when the Group was probed by the UPA government for its involvement in the ₹5,600-crore National Spot Exchange scam.

The rent agreement between Jignesh Shah promoted-Financial Technologies and Rahul and Priyanka is dated February 1, 2013, almost 10 months after National Spot Exchange, a subsidiary by FTIL, received a show-cause notice for alleged violation of regulations.

In response to the allegations, 63 moons technologies, in a statement, said premises were rented by the company on February 1, 2013 through an official lease agreement at a monthly rent of ₹6,20,000 and refundable deposit of about ₹40 lakh, with due approval from the board of directors.

“This was done in the normal course of business like most other corporates do and was for the purpose of stay of company officials & its representatives and it was used so. The said premises was vacated on October 23, 2013 and the security deposit was duly refunded back to us,” it said.
