Haryana has successfully generated 83.83 lakh persondays during 2010-11 against the approved budget for 78.46 lakh persondays under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).
The information was given in the meeting of Committee of Secretaries on Rural Development chaired by Chief Secretary, Ms Urvashi Gulati, here on Friday.
Ms Gulati said that out of the total persondays, at least 50 per cent employment should be provided to women under this ambitious scheme.
