Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry today recorded a very high turnout of voters with an average of about 78 per cent.
Tamil Nadu and Kerala registered approximately 75.21 per cent and 74.4 per cent turnout respectively while Puducherry the highest at 85.21 per cent, the Election Commission here said.
The Deputy Election Commissioner, Mr J P Prakash, told reporters that the polling was peaceful.
