The Institute of Company Secretaries of India has launched an eight-month foundation programme for those who want to make a career as company secretaries, according to a release issued by ICSI. The institute will provide coaching, including e-learning facilities. Mr Anil Murarka, president of the institute, said in a statement that ICSI had taken various initiatives including extensive career orientation, professional development programmes, brand building, research projects, reorganisation and infrastructure development and the study of future role of company secretaries and globalisation of the profession to spread the reach of the course.
