Air India will connect Paris-bound passengers from Chennai with the introduction of a new hub-and-spoke connecting flight from March 27.

The new service, to be operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft, will depart from Anna International Terminal, offers convenient connections to passengers bound for Paris in Delhi.

Convenient connection

Earlier, one had to take a domestic flight to Delhi to complete the immigration and customs formalities and then take the Paris flight. But now, passengers from Chennai can complete their immigration/customs formalities at Chennai Airport itself for travelling to Paris.

Flight AI 0043 / 0143 has been scheduled to depart Chennai at 0845 hours and arrive at the Delhi International Terminal 3 at 1110 hours. The flight to Paris will be operated on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays leaving Delhi at 1310 hours and reaching Paris at 1850 hours (local time), according to a press release issued by Air India.

The service also offers convenient connection at Delhi to passengers bound for Frankfurt and London leaving Delhi at 1320 hours and 1410 hours respectively.

Air India's flights to Paris, Frankfurt and London are operated with the Boeing 777 aircraft.

Convenient connections are also available for passengers from these cities in the return direction on arrival at Delhi to reach Chennai.

Chennai – Colombo – Chennai connection

Air India will reintroduce its Chennai – Colombo – Chennai flights from March 27.

The flight will be operated with the Airbus A-321 aircraft offering a capacity of 20 seats in business class and 152 seats in economy class.

Flight AI 273 will leave Chennai on all days except Wednesdays at 1415 hours and reach Colombo at 1535 hours (local time).

In the return direction, the flight AI 274 will leave Colombo at 1635 hours and arrive in Chennai at 1800 hours, according to the release.
