The former captain of Sri Lankan cricket team, Duleep Mendis, inaugurated the Yenepoya University's indoor sports complex —‘Yendurance Zone' — at Deralakatte near Mangalore on Saturday.
Yendurance Zone covers an area of 34,000 sq ft with a capacity of 2,500 seats. The indoor spots complex has a basketball court, three badminton courts, table tennis, volley ball and squash courts. It also has a 2,500 sq ft gymnasium and a 130-seat cinema theatre with digital projection and sound systems.
Inaugurating the complex, Mr Mendis hoped that India and Sri Lanka would make it to the to the finals of Cricket World Cup 2011.
