Leading entertainment channel, Asianet, gave away its television awards for 2012 at a function held recently at the Victoria College ground in Palakkad.
Several prominent persons from the film industry and socio-cultural spheres attended the event, a spokesman said.
Among them were Mr K. Madhavan, Managing Director, Asianet, and actors Jayaram, Khushboo, Babu Raj, Sreenivasan, Ashokan, Lena, Sona Nair, Lakshmi Sharma, Kailash, Jayan, Kalasala Babu.
Kungumapoo won the award for the best serial. Praveen Kadakkavoor won the award for the best director for this serial.
It also won the best actor award for Sajan Surya as also the best female award for Asha Sarath.
Asianet will telecast the ‘Asianet Television Awards 2012’ event on Saturday, June 9, from 6 p.m. onwards, the spokesman added.
