The Kerala High Court today directed the State Government to inform it whether the supply of milk will come under provisions of Essential Commodities Act. Justice P. N. Ravindran directed the Government to inform the power of Government to control the price of milk.
Earlier, the Government had restrained Milma from increasing price of milk. Challenging this, Milma approached the High Court pointing out that Government has no power to do that. They said the order was issued without hearing them.
