The National Security Advisor, Mr S.S. Menon, on Wednesday met the West Bengal Chief Minister, Ms Mamata Banerjee, to brief her regarding the discussions during the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh's two-day visit to Bangladesh. Ms Banerjee, along with Chief Ministers of the States bordering Bangladesh — Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram — would accompany the Prime Minister during the visit on September 6. Instead of joining the PM's delegation in Delhi,
the West Bengal Chief Minister is expected to reach Dhaka directly from Kolkata. Prior to meeting the Chief Minister, Mr Menon held discussions with the Chief Secretary, Mr Samar Ghosh, at Writers Buildings (the State Secretariat). —
