The government on Wednesday shuffled 13 key bureaucrats at the Secretary and Additional Secretary ranks.
An official statement said that 1982 batch IAS officer of the Manipur Cadre, Ajay Narayan Jha has been appointed as the Officer on Special duty in the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.
Jha will take over as Secretary, Department of Expenditure after Ashok Lavasa retires, the statement added.
Jha was holding the post of Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change. He will be replaced by CK Mishra, the current Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Mishra will be replaced by 1983 batch IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre Preeti Sudan.
Special Secretary in the Ministry of Shipping, Alok Shrivastava, a 1984 batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre has been appointed as the Secretary in the Department of Justice.
Gopal Krishna, an IAS officer of the 1983 batch, West Bengal cadre, has been appointed as the Secretary, Ministry of Shipping.
Director General, Sports Authority of India, Injeti Srinivas has now been appointed as the Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
