The Union Government has in-principle given its nod to set up steel plants in Bayyaram in Telangana and Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh. The establishment of the steel plants is part of the commitments made by the union government during the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
The Union Steel Minister is likely to make a statement in this regard later today in Hyderabad.
A senior Telangana officer said the task force set up by the Centre indicated a positive outcome.
