The Ministry of Finance on Tuesday imposed an anti-dumping duty on steel to cover colour-coated or pre-painted flat products of alloy or non-alloy steel. In an official statement, the government imposed a duty of $822 per tonne on the products from namely China and the European Union. BusinessLine reported on August 29 that the government is considering extending the anti-dumping duty across the value chain of steel products.
