Music therapy is to be used in select Karnataka Government hospitals for the benefit of patients.
The BJP Government has decided to revive the age old system of healing patients through “music therapy” in select government hospitals in coordination with National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), the State Medical Education Minister, Mr S.A. Ramdas, said at a function.
He said the experimental programme would be introduced first in the government hospitals at Shimoga, Hubli, Bangalore and Mysore.
The department which has been working on this therapy for the past one year with NIMHANS, had found it beneficial for the patients, he said.
