The Centre on Thursday appointed Madhusudan Sahoo as chairperson of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India. According to an official order, his appointment has been approved for a period of five years by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet. Sahoo is at present a member of the Competition Commission of India. The board will regulate the functioning of insolvency professionals, insolvency professional agencies and information utilities.
