Rishad Premji, Chief Strategy Officer of Wipro, who was recently elevated as a board member, was paid a remuneration of about ₹1.7 crore during the financial year.

Premji’s compensation does not include money he earns from his stake in the country’s third largest software exporter. Azim Premji, the company’s Chairman, and his family currently own 73.39 per cent, according to shareholder data in the BSE.

The elder Premji took home a paycheck of ₹4.1 crore, according to Wipro’s annual report. The company’s revenue grew 8 per cent in the last financial year, lower than Nasscom’s growth rates for the Indian IT industry. Wipro CEO T K Kurien took home annual pay of ₹9.1 crore in the last financial year. His salary increased by 39 per cent when compared to the previous year, according to the data. CEO of crosstown rival Infosys, Vishal Sikka, took home $716,539 or ₹4.3 crore during the year, which did not include any bonus, incentives or commission.

Wipro’s Chief Financial Officer Jatin Dalal’s salary stood at ₹2.5 crore in the last financial year. In comparison, Infosys CFO Rajiv Bansal netted ₹4.6 crore for the Bengaluru-based IT major, which included a base salary of $124,567, bonus and incentives worth $450,980 and commissions of $172,700.

Wipro’s HR head Saurabh Govil drew an annual salary of ₹2.9 crore, less than Infosys HR head Srikantan Moorthy who raked in ₹3.9 crore, which included a base salary of $85,285, bonus and incentives of $440,574 and a commission of $116,769. Former Wipro CFO Suresh Senapaty took home ₹3.1 crore, the filing added.
