Cardamom prices rose further for the second straight day by adding Rs 7.40 to Rs 814 per kg at the futures trade today on continued buying by traders on rising demand. Less arrivals from the producing regions also supported the uptrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, cardamom prices for delivery in July rose further by Rs 7.40 or 0.92 per cent to Rs 814 per kg with a business turnover of 273 lots. It had gained Rs 20.60 in the previous session.
imilarly, the spice for delivery in September moved up by Rs 7.10 or 0.81 per cent to Rs 882 per kg with an open interest of 62 lots.
Market analysts said continued buying by traders on the back of rising spot market demand against tight supply mainly helped the cardamom futures prices to remain up.
