Led by tur dal, prices of all major commodities firmed up in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.
Tur dal went up by Rs 200 a quintal to Rs 6,800 from Rs 6,600, urad dal by Rs 200 to Rs 7,000 from Rs 6,800.
Similarly, gram dal and sugar moved up by Rs 50 a quintal to Rs 2,950 and Rs 2,750 from Rs 2,900 and Rs 2,700, respectively.
Wheat firmed up by Rs 100 a quintal to Rs 1,900 from Rs 1,800. Maida (90 kg) increased by Rs 50 to Rs 1,750 from Rs 1,700 and sooji by Rs 100 to Rs 1,900 from Rs 1,800.
Moong dal, at Rs 7,200 a quintal, remained unaltered from its previous rate.
The following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities today (in Rs/quintal, except where stated otherwise): tur dal Rs 6,800, urad dal Rs 7,000, moong dal Rs 7,200, gram dal Rs 2,950, sugar Rs 2,750, wheat Rs 1,900, maida (90 kg) Rs 1,750 and sooji (90 kg) Rs 1,900.
