Cotton price remained unchanged on the back of nominal buying by mills. Slow export demand was also seen in the market. According to market sources, cotton price may remain in this range on limited carryover stock.
Gujarat Sankar-6 cotton was traded at Rs 42,000-500 a candy of 356 kg. Kapas or raw cotton was stood at Rs 900-1,050 for 20 kg while gin delivery kapas was quoted at Rs 1,050-1,088.
About 2,500-2,800 bales of cotton arrived in Gujarat and 5,800-6,000 bales arrived in India.
