Spot rubber ended flat on Saturday. The market was subdued, tracking the overall weakness in the domestic futures on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE). Sheet rubber ended steady at Rs 161 a kg, according to traders. The grade declined to Rs 161.50 (Rs 162.25) at Kottayam and Kochi, according to the Rubber Board.
November futures weakened to Rs 159.89 (Rs 161.70), December to Rs 161.90 (Rs 163.90) and January to Rs 164.50 (Rs 166.38) while the February and March futures remained inactive on the NMCE.
Spot rubber rates Rs/kg were: RSS-4: 161 (161); RSS-5: 152 (152);
Ungraded: 148 (148); ISNR 20: 154 (154) and Latex 60%: 122 (122).
