Spot rubber finished weak on Saturday. The market seemed to be losing strength lacking positive signals either from the domestic or international scene. The trend was mixed.
Sheet rubber dropped to Rs 192.50 (193) a kg, as quoted by traders. The grade moved down to Rs 193 (193.50) a kg at Kottayam and Kochi, according to the Rubber Board.
In futures, the June series closed at Rs 192.30 (192.23), July at Rs 195.40 (195.31) and August at Rs 195 (195.02) a kg for RSS 4 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
Spot rates were (Rs/kg) : RSS-4: 192.50 (193); RSS-5: 191 (191); ungraded: 187.50 (188); ISNR 20: 192 (192) and latex 60 per cent: 124 (124).
