Spot rubber showed a mixed mood on Saturday. Covering purchases at lower levels following the marginal recovery in domestic futures kept sheet rubber firm during the closing session.
The September series improved to Rs 198.40 (197.42), October to Rs 195.15 (194.49), November to Rs 195.45 (194.40), December to Rs 197.20 (194.52), January to Rs 197.26 (197.18) and February to Rs 201 (197.98) a kg for RSS 4 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
Spot rates were (Rs/kg): RSS-4: 197.50 (197); RSS-5: 190 (190); ungraded: 180 (180); ISNR 20: 194 (194) and latex 60 per cent: 129 (129).
