Edible oils continued their uptrend on Wednesday as local refineries raised their rates twice by ₹5-7/10 kg tracking firm overseas and domestic futures markets amid higher physical demand. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, major edible oils gained in the range of ₹3-5.
Vikram Global Commodities (P) Ltd, Chennai, quoted ₹525/10 kg for September delivery of Malaysian super palmolein. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹510-512, super palmolein ₹540, soyabean refined oil ₹612. Ruchi was quoting palmolein at ₹512, soyabean refined oil ₹602 and sunflower refined oil ₹607. Allana was quoting palmolein ₹515, super palmolein ₹540, soyabean refined oil ₹615 and sunflower oil ₹612.
In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin remained unchanged at ₹1,190 and loose (10 kg) at ₹760.
BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 790 (785), soya refined oil 605 (600), sunflower exp. ref. 560 (550), sunflower ref. 610 (605), rapeseed ref. oil 733 (730), rapeseed expeller ref. 703 (700) cottonseed ref. oil 640 (635) and palmolein 505 (503).
