Spot rubber closed unchanged on Wednesday. The market opened firm but lost the initial gains following the declines in domestic futures and absence of genuine buyers. RSS 4 was flat at ₹118 a kg, according to traders and the Rubber Board. The grade was steady at ₹115 as quoted by the dealers. December futures weakened to ₹115.83 (₹117.16), January to ₹116.81 (₹118.19) and February to ₹118.45 (₹119.26) on the National Multi Commodity Exchange. RSS 3 (spot) slid to ₹101.03 (₹101.82) at Bangkok. December futures closed at ¥189.5 (₹99.57) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates (₹/kg): RSS-4: 118 (118); RSS-5: 113 (113); Ungraded: 107 (107); ISNR 20: 101 (101) and Latex 60%: 87.50 (87.50).
