Edible oils market witnessed a bearish trend on slack demand amid weak futures. In absence of fresh demand, prices on the Bombay Commodity Exchange declined by ₹7 for palmolein and ₹3 for soya oil.
Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹538, super palmolein ₹557 and soyabean refined oil ₹620. Allana’s rates: palmolein ₹525, soya refined oil ₹612 and sunflower refined oil ₹765.
BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 935 (935), soya ref. 608 (611), sunflower exp. ref. 685 (685), sunflower ref. 765 (765), rapeseed ref. 775 (790), rapeseed exp. ref. 745 (760), cottonseed ref. 600 (600) and palmolein 511 (518).
