Uptrend in chana that has been on for the past few days ended today with arrival outstripping demand. On Tuesday, chana (kanta) declined to ₹4,050-4,100 a quintal, while chana (desi) ruled at ₹3,900. Given further rise in arrival of new crop, rally in chana appears unlikely, said Rahul Vora, a trader. Chana dal (medium) was at ₹5,200-5,300, while chana dal (bold) ruled at ₹5,400-5,500 a quintal. Amid slack physical demand and robust crop report, dollar chana traded lower at ₹9,000-10,000 a quintal.
